Love is in the air! Going to a wedding!

The invitation has arrived! You are going to a wedding! A perfectly organised, mythical and romantic wedding. What a great opportunity to have a wonderful time!

You want to have the time of your life and celebrate romance and love! You don’t want to be the centre of attention for all the wrong reasons. Not at a wedding; be it the one of a relative, a friend or a colleague. If people are to talk about you, make sure it’s for the right reasons. Reasons like your style and your elegance.

You certainly need to consider the style of the wedding. Is it going to be a very formal event, or a casual gathering? At a church or at the mayor’s office?

No matter what, you need to stay true to yourself and showcase your personal style. However, there are some choices which is best to avoid.

  1. Wearing white

White is for the bride, so stay away from anything that could look like a wedding dress. The bride will not appreciate it and all the guests will gossip about you. Not a good reason for people to notice you. Avoid a white suit as well.

  1. Looking too sexy

This is not the time to be revealing. This day belongs to the bride so avoid causing a stir with your look. Stay appropriately covered and showcase your style not your body. Along those lines, red would not be a wise option either.

  1. Comfy jeans

This is not the time or place to look casual. Your trusted jeans can stay in the closet.  Think of all the trouble the couple went into to organise the event. Dress up!

  1. Careful with black

Black is generally not considered a good choice for a wedding. However, if it fits your personal style make sure it looks sharp and not drab. A bit of glam and a red lipstick will do the job.

  1. Even more careful with animal prints

Animal prints are fashionable but terribly risky. Stay safe with the use of accessories but avoid the total look; chances are it’s going to be a miss.

  1. Boots are not made for weddings

Boots are made for walking and not attending weddings. If you insist of wearing a pair, make sure they are made of a luxurious material like velvet or patent leather and were meant to be evening footwear.

These tips will keep you on the safe side. Put your best foot forward, smile a lot and have fun! Enjoy the day, celebrate romance and love!
